TSIOTSIOS ANASTASIOS

Mr. Tsiotsios born in 1958 in Thessaloniki. He is the founder, president  and CEO of the company SPOREAS company (A. Tsiotsios & Co. EE). Mr. Tsiotsios modernized and upgrades the family professional activity, being the second generation, built new facilities and the new headquarters, making it one of the most important and longest-lived seed production companies in Greece.

From a very early age for the Greek agricultural research situation,  he acknowledged the general need for the creation of new varieties of wheat that can be perfectly adapted to the soil-climatic data of the country. So he initiated a collaboration with the Agricultural University of Plovdiv, settling two Plant Genetic Improvement research programs which offered the company and the market two excellent varieties of wheat, a soft one (Triticum aestivum) and a durum wheat (Triticum durum), which are listed in the National and European list of varieties and belong exclusively as property of the company. His research interests continue and extend to other plant species, such as energy and oil plants.

He speaks English, Bulgarian and is an active athlete and member of the board of the Drama Shooting Association. He is married to Vasiliki Tsiotsiou and has 2 children and 4 grandchildren.
